HAIR SALON BRANDING + WEBSITE DESIGN · KEY WEST, FL
From a 15-minute placeholder site to a private studio brand built for the right clients.
Sessions with Candon already had the expertise, reputation, and private client experience. What it did not have was an online presence capable of explaining any of it.
LuxeLink translated Candon’s experience into a defined brand, a consultation-led website, and an integrated booking system designed around the way his clients actually choose and book their services.
Candon had spent roughly 20 years developing his technical expertise, but the website had been assembled quickly to establish a basic online footprint. He described the original presence as inconsistent and said he had thrown it together in approximately 15 minutes because websites were not his area of expertise.

The situation
Candon knew what he wanted clients to feel. He just didn’t know how to translate it online.
Candon had already built the parts of the business that are hardest to manufacture: years of experience, strong client retention, local trust, referrals, and a private studio experience clients valued.
But the online presence had not been built with the same level of intention.
The website had been created quickly to give the business somewhere to exist online. It did not clearly explain the private one-on-one experience, establish extensions and hair integration as the strongest specialty, or help someone understand what to book.
The business was also relying heavily on texting, personal communication, and manual scheduling. That meant Candon’s reputation and direct involvement were doing work the website should have been equipped to handle. The strategic review found that the business had outgrown its placeholder presence and needed a clearer system for trust, discovery, consultation, and booking.
What was getting in the way
The problem was bigger than the design.
-
His reputation was carrying the website. Clients trusted Candon through referrals and local recognition, but the website itself was not building the same confidence.
-
The business had no clear position online. The private studio experience, extension expertise, hair integration work, and transformation focus were not being communicated as one coherent idea.
-
The services had no clear hierarchy. Extensions, color, cuts, products, treatment support, and maintenance all existed, but visitors were not being guided toward the right starting point.
-
Booking still depended on Candon. Appointments and follow-up relied heavily on texting and direct coordination rather than a reliable online path.
-
Sensitive services lacked the right context. Someone considering thinning support, hair integration, or a major transformation needed privacy, expertise, proof, and reassurance before taking action.
Many of these clients were not choosing a routine salon appointment. They were considering high-investment or emotionally personal services that required more trust than a basic service menu could provide.
What changed
Three shifts: from an idea Candon could feel to a business clients could understand and book.
01
The idea in his head became a position clients could understand.
Before: Candon knew what made the studio different, but he did not have a clear brand system or language for translating the experience online.
The business was private, personal, technically advanced, and built around focused time with each client. None of that had been shaped into one clear public-facing position.
Now: Sessions with Candon is positioned as a private hair transformation studio in Key West, leading with extensions, hair integration, expert guidance, and one-on-one care.
The name “Sessions” became the strategic foundation. Adding “with Candon” connected the private studio concept to the personal reputation clients already trusted.
The brand direction established a specific balance: Manhattan-level polish, made personal in Key West. Elevated enough to support high-investment services, but warm enough for clients to bring sensitive hair concerns into the room.
The approved strategy intentionally positioned extensions, integration, and transformation work as the lead story rather than presenting Sessions as a generic full-service salon.
What It Means: Candon no longer has to personally explain what makes the studio different. The name, message, visuals, and website establish the experience before the consultation begins.

02
A scattered service list became a guided client path.
Before: The business offered extensions, hair integration, color, cuts, maintenance, products, and treatment-supported services, but the website did not organize those options around how clients make decisions.
A visitor had to understand the terminology, determine what applied to her, and decide whether she should contact Candon, book something directly, or begin with a consultation.
Now: The new website separates the business into clear service paths:
-
Extensions and Hair Integration
-
Color, Cut and Maintenance
-
Products and Aftercare
-
Consultation-led transformation services
Extensions, microlines, hair integration, and personal transformation work receive the strongest emphasis. Supporting services remain visible, but they no longer flatten the brand into a generic salon menu.
Higher-touch clients are consistently guided toward a private consultation. Existing and maintenance clients can move toward the relevant service and booking option.
The strategy was deliberately built around consultation first, especially for clients who may not know which method their natural hair, density, lifestyle, or concerns can realistically support.
What It Means: Visitors are not expected to diagnose their own needs. The website helps them recognize the right starting point and makes the next action feel simpler.

03
Manual coordination became an integrated booking system.
Before: Booking and follow-up were handled through texting and direct communication.
Candon was already using Square as his point-of-sale system and Google Calendar to manage his schedule, but clients did not have a complete online path that worked with those existing tools.
Now: The website directs clients into a structured Square booking experience connected to the way the business already operates.
The planned journey was designed to move a client from service selection to real-time availability, deposit or payment where applicable, confirmation, and calendar placement without asking Candon to rebuild his schedule in an unfamiliar system.
Consultation-led services are clearly separated from appointments that can be booked more directly, reducing uncertainty for the client and manual coordination for the business.
What It Means: The website does not only look more professional. It removes work from Candon’s plate and gives clients a more reliable way to take action.
In his review, Candon confirmed that the website now has comprehensive online booking, integrates with his point of sale, and saves both him and his clients time.

The situation
An established studio whose online presence hadn’t caught up to the business.
AYB EXT is a Daytona Beach extension and color studio led by Leontyne Carter, with nearly a decade of experience. The work was already premium and the reputation was strong but the website was a booking-template page built around a form, with a broad “customized beauty” message that didn’t say what AYB actually specialized in.
New clients were finding the business through Google, Yelp, and Instagram but the path from finding it to booking was inconsistent, and the site quietly worked against the level of the business behind it.
